19 August 2008: It has been a long time since I have done any updating.
I'm sorry about that, but I've just added several more hulls to the membership
listing. Before long we will have each accounted for, which, I think is pretty
cool.
That said, if you do send me info or material, I will try my best to get it
up as soon as possible. I'm always looking for material that will benefit the
fleet.
Kirk Out!
Welcome to Ranger22.Com! 2007 will mark the site's 10 year anniversary
on the web, and to commemorate the occasion I went ahead and secured the Ranger22.Com
domain name.
This web site is dedicated to the one of the finest (not to mention best looking) twenty-two foot sailboat ever built and the skippers that sail and race them.
The Ranger 22 represents one of Gary Mull's finest designs. The boat was designed to meet the racing needs of the small keel-boat racers of the late 70's and early 80's, and to this day, the boat remains a tough competitor. While the fleet of over 300 hulls has spread out over the country, one design fleets are for the most part non-existent. However, with a base rating of 222, they make excellent PHRF racers for today's auxiliary fleets.
Since this web site was created in late 1978, R22 sailors from all over have met here to gather and share information. It is my hope that it remains that way. Personally, I no longer own a R22, but the boat, hers sexy lines, and outstanding performance will forever have a soft spot in my heart. Don't be surprised if I show up sometime later with another one.
So, WELCOME ABOARD!!! Take a gander at the categories and remember that your comments are always welcome. After all, that is what we're here for.
