G&S 30 For Sale!

• Windfreak is a G&S 30. This Graham & Schlagerter design #23 was built for for 1/2 ton racing which was active in the 1970's and 1980s. It is a West system epoxy wooden laminated hull with plywood decking. It has an extensive sail inventory with a new Doyle main sail in 2006. The original diesel has been replaced with a new 2007 8 hp Yamaha outboard with remote controls. New wood has been incorporated as necessary- reinforced transom for the outboard and new hatch molding in the last two years. The boat has a 2009 PHRF rating of 144
  
  Interior:
• The interior is simple, nice brightly varnished interior hull a storage cabinet main cabin port side and a navigator station starboard at the forward end of the two berths in the main cabin.
• The forward storage space contains a porta- poti and plenty of storage for the 8 or 9 sails that will be carried if the boat is raced. Two additional coffin berths could be added aft if needed
  
  Deck:
• Modern deck hardware has been added over the last three years, all lines lead aft to the cockpit, 4 each Lemar 30 two speed winches, two on the cabin top supported with two double line clutches, two on the deck for jib/Genoa sheeting.
• A lemar 40 is mounted on the traveler support mid cockpit for the back stay and the double running stays.
  
  Electronics:
• Minimal electronics a nice VHF radio, two batteries and full navigational lighting. Also interior lighting in all areas.
  
  Sails:
• Sails include 2 spinnakers, 1980s, hardly used, no rips tears or patches.
• A 85% storm jib, hardly used with stains.
• Three Genoas, 105%,4oz 155%,5.5oz 155% & a 30x mylar 155%. These sails are old but usable if you were going to club race or cruise the boat.
• Roller furling was added in 2007, three genoas were cut down for the furler.
  
  Engine:
• 2007 8hp Long shaft (25")is attached to the transom, when the diesel expired in 2006/7 I had a choice of a $6000 replacement of the diesel or a $3000 dollar outboard. Very happy with the outboard,electric start, and electric tilt.
