Catalina 22 For
Sale!
- Paddy West is a nicely restored 1984 Catalina 22 swing keel pop-top
model. I've had her two years and recently bought a bigger boat and now must reluctantly
sell her. I've spent the last two seasons re-doing her inside and out and it shows.
A big plus is that she comes with a very nice galvanized trailer with extendable
tongue and nearly new tires. Keel pivot point reworked by previous owner. Winch
and cable look new (no rust/corrosion). Pop-top has custom fitted cover (zipper
broke recently). Extra gear includes life jackets, fenders (bumpers), fire extinguisher,
porta potty, spare tires and rims, sail bags, wisker pole, Danforth anchor, chain
and anchor line, extra anchor line, vented canvas companionway cover, kick up
rudder with refinished tiller, compass, hardware, rubber dry mats (cockpit and
sole).
Interior:
- All woodwork refinished last spring.
- Cushions throughout are new looking and have been kept meticulously cleaned.
- Old dinette table replaced with custom made marine plywood table (I used the
old one as my template) painted with four coats of Captain's Varnish
Deck:
- Standing rigging in good shape.
- Forestay replaced two summers ago.
- Mast step rebedded last summer.
- Boat rigged to aft for one person sailing.
- Cabin top painted with non-skid last summer.
- Deck and cockpit and rest of cabin top painted last summer with Brightsides
Polyurethane (white).
- All bright work kept in excellent condition.
- No cracks, soft spots or leaks anywhere.
Electronics:
- Rewired last summer.
- Two new marine batteries onboard, one never used and still not connected.
- 12-volt outlet for fan, coffee pot, spotlight, etc.
- New Hummingbird Depth/Fishfinder transducer mounted inside forward hull two
months ago.
- New screen/viewfinder wired but not connected.
Sails:
- Two mainsails
- 150% Genoa
- Working Jib
- Smaller Storm Type Genoa
- Spinnaker
- All in very good clean condition.
Engine:
- 2010 Nissan 6 hp long shaft engine with only about 60 hours
- Usually starts first pull.
- Comes with engine dolly for easy transport on dock.
