Beneteau 373
For Sale!
- Prob'ly Shouldn't is for sale by private seller.
- You may find one newer but you will not find one cleaner or better maintained.
She is a shoal draft drawing 4.5 feet and great for coastal cruising. My family
and I have spent many great weekends and several great weeks living in comfort.
- Great, comfortable berths along with fantastic marine air that will ice the
window in the heat of a deep south summer.
- Full bimini added in 2008 along with stern perch seating added in 2009 make
sailing comfortable for the whole family.
- Easily sailed single hand or with children aboard, this is a great boat to
create wonderful family memories.
- Standard Beneteau electronics include GPS, auto pilot, VHF and AM-FM/DVD
with satellite radio available.
- Low hours on the larger than standard 42 hp Yanmar diesel.
- Great, easy to handle furling Genoa and in mast main so the sails are easy
up and easy down, plus the boom is located high above the cockpit so no need to
worry about anyone getting knocked over.
- We keep her in a harbor about 60 miles east of New Orleans so she is easy
to get to from the Big Easy and this is a great time of year to visit our city.
- Priced lower than anything you will find on Yachtworld and I have comparables
for interested buyers. Let's leave the brokers out of this and both get a good
deal

Deck & Hull
- The hull is made of solid hand-laid fiberglass. Different types and weights
of fiberglass are used in various locations in the hull to provide maximum strength
and minimum weight.
- A solid fiberglass internal grid system with longitudinal and transverse stringers
is bonded to the hull, while still in the mold.
- This fiberglass grid system, using unilateral fiberglass, forms a strong back-bone
for the hull and prevents any distortion or misshaping of the hull.
- The deck is constructed of hand-laid fiberglass. End grain balsa is used as
a core material to further strengthen the deck and because of its durability,
superior thermal and sound proofing qualities.
- A solid hand-laid deck liner is bonded to the underside of the deck to capture
the major bulkheads, when the deck is installed on the hull. This creates a 360
degree bond of the bulkhead, making them a structural part of the hull and further
strengthens the boat.
- Since Beneteau utilizes a two piece hull mold, the 373 has an inward hull
flange on which the deck is attached. This process is more expensive to manufacture,
but forms a superior hull to deck joint since it is less susceptible to impact
damage than an outward flange or a shoe-box hull to deck joint.
